Empowering Women in Research and Innovation!
The Ethiopian-Djibouti Females at Makerspace (EtD-FaM) project successfully conducted a two-day Grant Writing Workshop on October 23–24, 2025, at the Business Makerspace, Arsi University, in collaboration with the EU-funded FAITH Project under Kotebe University of Education (KUE).
A total of 18 female instructors 14 from Arsi University and 4 from KUE participated in the training, which focused on strengthening women’s capacity in research, innovation, and grant proposal development.
The workshop aimed to empower participants to design fundable research projects, secure grants, and lead innovative initiatives within their institutions.
In the next phase, these trained instructors will cascade their knowledge by delivering similar training to female students and local SMEs through the Business Makerspace at Arsi University, further fostering women’s participation in innovation and entrepreneurship.
