The Ethiopian–Djibouti Females at Makerspace (EtD-FaM) project successfully held its 7th General Meeting on March 31, 2026, in an online format, bringing together project partners to review progress and plan future activities.
The meeting commenced with a welcoming address delivered by the Project Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of continued collaboration and commitment among partners to achieve the project’s goals. Following the opening remarks, the session focused on reviewing the implementation status of action items agreed upon during the 6th General Meeting. Each partner presented their achievements, outlining key progress made, challenges encountered, and lessons learned since the previous meeting.

After the presentations, the Project Manager introduced the agenda for the 7th General Meeting, setting the stage for an engaging and constructive discussion. Throughout the session, partners actively contributed insights and raised important issues related to project implementation.
A central point of discussion was the need to ensure that all established makerspaces become fully functional, efficient, and sustainable in the long term. Partners emphasized the importance of strengthening operational capacity, enhancing resource utilization, and fostering innovation within the makerspaces to secure their future impact.
In addition, participants discussed upcoming activities and collaboratively identified priorities to be incorporated into the next phase of the project. These future actions were carefully considered and agreed upon, forming a clear roadmap for the period leading up to the next General Meeting.
